The World Federation of Trade Unions, which is the militant voice of more than 92 million workers in 126 countries worldwide, firmly stands by the side of the USB – Italy, which has called for a general strike on 10th November 2017.
The WFTU affiliated organization USB, along with other Confederations of Italy, are organizing a general strike and mobilizations in order to oppose the anti-workers policy implemented by the Government of Gentiloni/Renzi and the European Union. They demand the increase of salaries and pensions and they fight against precariousness, privatization of public companies, xenophobia and racism and measures that serve the interests of the monopolies in their country.
The world militant trade union movement supports the demands of the USB- Italy and calls upon all workers in Italy to participate in the 10th November general strike, as well as to continue their struggles for public and free social services, for the improvement of their living and working conditions.
