The World Federation of Trade Unions, on behalf of its 92 million members all over the world, strongly denounces the arrest and imprisonment of the young Palestinian Waed Tamimi by Israel.

Waed Tamimi, brother of the 17-year-old Ahmed Tamimi, who remains imprisoned with her mother in Israeli prisons, was arrested at dawn of May 10 by Israeli forces who invaded their house in Nabi Saleh village, Palestine.

As the world militant trade union movement, we once more denounce the aggression of the state of Israel, which does not hesitate to arrest, imprison or even shoot young children who are defending their homes and land.

We extent our internationalist support and solidarity to the people of Palestine and we demand the immediate release of the Tamimi family and of all Palestinian political prisoners.
