The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its solidarity with the citizens of the cities Douala and Limbe in Cameroon, who are suffering from the severe weather conditions. The excessive rainfall caused landslides in the city of Douala, while probably has cost human lives in the city of Limbe.

The workers and the popular strata are once more unprotected against the natural disasters and are being called upon to pay with their lives the lack of adecuate protection measures in every aspect of their lives.

The WFTU, representing over 92 million workers, stands alongside the people affected by the floods and demands the implementation of inmediate measures who will ensure the protection of the citizens from the natural disasters.
