On behalf of the people and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Vice-minister of Foreign Relations for Europe, Yván Gil, delivered on Friday a Protest Note to the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Andrew Soper, on the occasion to reject once more, in a forceful way, the words issued by the State Minister for the Americas, Alan Duncan, which show their clear alignment with the interests of Washington.
The statements were made within the framework of the Chatham House Conference on Latin America 2018, in these, a deep ignorance of the Venezuelan reality is shown, making invisible the great social, political and economic advances that the Bolivarian Government has achieved in a sustained manner with the people.
The Government of Venezuela is not surprised that they use the same arguments and phrases repeated by the mainstream media, whose interests are aimed at undermining the institutions and the morals of the brave Venezuelan people.
Faced with this new imperial attack, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry urged the British government to “implement a healthy, fruitful dialogue, based on respect, without impositions and conditions”.
The Note of Protest was delivered in the Hall of Social Heroes of the Yellow House Antonio José de Sucre located in Caracas.
