The FM of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, criticized the most recent decision of the government of the Republic of Costa Rica in relation to the South American country, which denotes subordination to the interests of the United States in the region.
“Before the demonstrated inability of the Costa Rican government to resolve its internal affairs and listen with humility to the workers on such a prolonged strike, President Carlos Alvarado decides to divert the attention of the public opinion about his country by attacking Venezuela”, denounced the Venezuelan diplomat through his Twitter account @jaarreaza.
Consequently, Foreign Minister Arreaza called on the Costa Rican president to meet the demands of his people and to respect the sovereignty of States.
“We had never seen a Costa Rican government to so quickly subordinate itself to the dictates of a government that hates the Central American peoples like Donald Trump, and lose its popularity so quickly, based on policies against the most humble”, he emphasized.
In this context, the Venezuelan diplomat called for the reflection of President Carlos Alvarado.
“As the teacher Andrés Bello said: “Those who do not moderate passions, are dragged to lamentable precipices”, added in the social network.
The Costa Rican government announced on Tuesday that it supports an initiative of six American countries with right-wing governments, which asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) for a tendentious investigation in Venezuela.
