On Tuesday, the General Secretary of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohammed Barkindo, arrived in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with the purpose of participating on Thursday, January 10, at the inauguration of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, to be held in the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).
Barkindo was received at the Maiquetía Airport by the People’s Power Minister for Oil, Manuel Quevedo, who recently assumed the presidency of the OPEC Ministerial Conference.

It is expected that the General Secretary and Minister Quevedo review the actions that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will undertake to ensure in 2019 the stability of oil prices.
