This Friday, in the framework of the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, a tribune and a concert for Peace in Latin America was held in the community of Barbosa, Republic of Cuba.
The event was attended by delegates from different social movements, who took a tour to learn first-hand the experience of the popular organization in response to the criminal economic blockade imposed by the United States.
Also present was the People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Blanca Eekhout and said: “With the arrival of Hugo Chávez, a model of participatory and leading democracy was established in Venezuela, later organized into communal councils and social movements. Popular power does not stop and thanks to that, we have been able to resist the blockade and criminal sanctions against our country”.
She also stressed that currently the integration of the peoples of the world is not an option, but a necessity.
