The Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity will hold the International Anti-neoliberal Rebellion Seminar in Our America in Caracas.
The event will take place from December 17 to 19 at the Casa Amarilla “Antonio José de Sucre”, in the historic center of Caracas, informed the People’s Power Minister for Culture, Ernesto Villegas.
The seminar will be held on the bicentenary of the Basic Law of Colombia.
The Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity constitutes a movement of thought and action against all forms of domination and exclusion. It emerged in 2003 at the initiative of leading Mexican and Cuban intellectuals, its website says.
Between December 1 and 5, 2004, the management idea of the network in Caracas was consolidated during the World Meeting of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity, which brought together more than 400 representatives from 52 countries and diverse cultures.
On December 17, 1819, the Liberator Simón Bolívar decreed in the Angostura Congress the Fundamental Law of the Peoples of Colombia, composed of the then provinces of Venezuela and New Granada, and which was signed on July 12, 1821 in Cúcuta, for the Congress of the Republic.
