This Monday, the mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador municipality of Caracas, Erika Farías, welcomed the 69 Cuban doctors who arrived in the country to join the fight against COVID-19, which already has 77 cases of infections.
During the welcome ceremony, Erika Farías explained that the group of Cuban specialists will join the tasks of attention and screening of suspicious cases that take place in the parishes, neighborhoods and streets of the capital city.
“69 companions, doctors and specialists of the highest level in Cuba have come to join those who are here in Venezuela, and the Venezuelan medical personnel to care for our people”, she said.
Likewise, she reiterated that 36 Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) are activated in the capital city to attend to possible cases of coronavirus infection.
Recently, the president, Nicolás Maduro, reported on the arrival of more than 130 doctors from Cuba to support the fight against the coronavirus COVID-19.
