Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia & Silesia (OSČMS) joins fully its voices to the international solidarity with Palestinian people fighting for their own Palestinian state, for living in dignity, and against Israeli’s unilateral violating of the agreements. We’re sorry that Czech Republic has stood up on the side of those countries violating those agreements. It has never been possible to establish lasting peace by force, through the law of survival of the fittest; and, also, it’s impossible to use that way to reach equal international deals as well as to fulfil the UN Security Council’s Resolutions.
Today, it is necessary to know and to remind permanently that in 1947, the UN had agreed to divide the Palestine’s British Mandate into two states – the Jewish one and the Arabian (Palestinian) one. Despite rejecting that plan by the Arabian States’ League, Israel, on the base of the Palestine’s British Mandate’s finish, to declare unilaterally the Israeli State’s independence in May 14, 1948. There were living 1.2 million Arabian people and 650 thousand Jews within the former British Mandate that times. Just next day, first war between the Arabian States’ League and the Israeli state was leashed.
OS ČMS strongly beliefs that the original intention to be reached, to divide the Palestine’s British Mandate into two fully equal states – the Israel and the Palestine – must occur without every any interference by external powers, as well as with no religious and racial hatred, no economical and social inequality, with vigorous politics of non-interference by foreign powers. Today, only the UN can be the guarantor of these events.
Thus, we fully support the Palestinian people’s right of self-determination, and, too, we fully join and support the WFTU international solidarity.
