This Wednesday, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, reiterated that the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela supports the Islamic Republic of Iran in defending its sovereignty.

This about the recent declarations of the Secretary of State of the United States, Mike Pompeo, in which he announced today the end of the exemption of sanctions to all nuclear projects of international companies in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which remained as part of the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (Jcpoa) ​​of 2015, measures implemented to put pressure on Tehran.

“The policy of permanent aggression of Trump and Pompeo against Iran is primitive and anti-diplomatic, promoted by hawks who want to lead the world to another war. Venezuela supports Iran in defending its sovereignty and reiterates that Peace is the only way to humanity”, wrote the Venezuelan foreign minister through his Twitter account @jaarreaza.

The Donald Trump administration gave companies 60 days to end their operations without being sanctioned.

Operations with exemptions included jobs like the Arak heavy water research reactor or the supply of enriched uranium to the Iran Research Reactor.
