During his speech at the ALBA-TCP telematic conference on the post-pandemic economy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Labor of Grenada, Peter David, thanked the timely help of China, Cuba and Venezuela in the framework of the fight against COVID- 19.
“We have received important support from Venezuela and China, supplies, medicines, kits; for its part, Cuba has sent us a medical mission just as it has done with other countries, we are eternally grateful”, he said.
In the same way, he referred to the action of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for the support provided to Granada and the Caribbean in general.
The Chancellor conveyed the will of the Government of Grenada to reaffirm its commitments to the basic principles of ALBA-TCP and to express all support for the strengthening of economic alliances between the member states.
“This pandemic represents a global challenge and requires an innovative approach, it is necessary to strengthen the movement through cooperation and solidarity, these are key aspects”.
In this sense, he specified that common strengths “will allow us to have the economic benefits that our peoples desire and expect”.
On the other hand, he expressed his rejection to the unilateral coercive measures applied against the members of ALBA-TCP.
