On Saturday, June 6, a sixth shipment from the People’s Republic of China arrived at the Simón Bolívar International Airport carrying more than 74 tons of medical supplies as part of the airlift established between the two countries in order to strengthen the measures adopted by the Bolivarian Government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

With these supplies, which include PCR test kits, facemasks, disposable suits, and medicines, the Venezuelan government guarantees the provision of medical supplies for different health centers in the country, available to provide assistance and care to COVID-19 patients.

Likewise, the shipment included supplies such as rapid and PCR test kits, facemasks, and security goggles, among others, from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chinese private companies.

These actions embody the spirit of solidarity and interdependence shared by the governments of Presidents Xi Jinping and Nicolás Maduro, who have taken the diplomatic relations and respect between the two countries to the highest level.
