Saturday, 23 January 2021: The South African Communist Party (SACP) in Limpopo Provinces expresses its message of heartfelt condolences to the Mampuru family, relatives, and Bapedi ba Mamone for the great loss encountered, the passing this week of Kgoši Billy Mampuru III. The SACP was the first political formation in South Africa to call for the transformation of our country into a democratic republic with equal rights for all, a stance that remains important. The SACP, however, fully recognises the heroic role played by a number of royal leaders in our land, South Africa, in the struggle against colonisation. In memory of Kgoši Mampuru III, we should unite as South Africans and work together to deepen and widen democratisation to roll back the legacy of colonial and apartheid conquests, land dispossession, other forms of expropriation, and other social consequences.
