With a massive protest the Hotel Workers’ Union of Athens and the workers of Athens HILTON Hotel demanded no worker to lose their job during the works of the Hotel’s renovation. 350 hotel workers of HILTON Athens were told by the management to receive an “exit package” and lose their jobs. The Hotel Workers’ Union denounced the “offer of unemployment” and demanded the management to guarantee all job positions and workers’ income during the renovation period. TUI Hotel-Tourism of WFTU and dozens of Unions from all over Athens expressed their solidarity with HILTON Athens workers who will escalate their fight with work stoppage and protest at the Ministry of Labor on Friday, January, 21.
